For 4 servings

  • 250 grams baby bok choy
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp finely chopped ginger
  • One spring onion finely sliced
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 250 ml chicken stock
  • 1/2 tsp starch dissolved in water


  1. Wash the baby bok choy thoroughly and allow it to drain. 
  2. Boil enough water in a pan and add a pinch of salt. Briefly boil the baby bok choy, then immediately drain and soak it in ice water until cold. Make sure it is dry.
  3. Heat some oil in a frying pan. Saute garlic and ginger in the pan until they become fragrant. 
  4. Add the bokchoy, oyster sauce, sesame oil, pepper, and salt. Mix well. 
  5. Pour in the chicken stock and stir until it boils. Then, pour in the starch solution and stir until the mixture thickens. 
  6. Finally, remove the pan from heat and serve immediately.
