Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon water
  • 150 g cherries, halved
  • 190 g skim milk yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • pinch ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon rolled oats, toasted


  • Prepare the Cherries: Combine sugar, water, and sour cherries in a medium saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil, lower the heat, and simmer without a lid for approximately 2 minutes or until the syrup thickens. Allow it to cool.
  • Toast the Oats: Toast oats in a frying pan over medium heat or in the oven until lightly browned.
  • Mix the Yogurt: In a small bowl, mix the yogurt, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  • Assemble the Parfait: Divide half of the cherry mixture into two ¾ cup (180ml) glasses. Top with half the yogurt mixture, followed by the remaining cherry and the rest. Sprinkle the toasted oats on top just before serving.
